Fine Dining Seabourn Style: The difference is quite dramatic

Imagine the hush at the moment a great conductor lifts his baton and the orchestra launches into a dramatic symphonic selection. As that experience is to your ears, Seabourn is to your palate. Each meal in our elegant restaurant is an exciting Epicurean adventure. A fact that has caused critics to move beyond comparing Seabourn cuisine with that of other cruise lines. The better analogy is with the most renowned restaurants on land. One food writer extolled: "The food was so good, passengers ran out of superlatives." You dine when you please and with whom you please. The choices range from the inventive and exotic to the classic and simple. Of course, The Restaurant is only the beginning...

On Seabourne ships you dine when, where and with whom you please. And always exceptionally.

The Veranda Café is further evidence that no matter where it is served, Seabourn cuisine is the most highly regarded at sea. Not only is The Veranda Café open for breakfast and lunch but also for more casual dinner experiences.

There are times when you want the delights of a fine restaurant without the fine restaurant. On Seabourn those times are anytime you choose—breakfast, lunch, dinner or whenever an unexpected urge strikes. Our in-suite service is available 24 hours a day. Or, during evening dining hours, just ask and you can be served our Restaurant menu selections, course by course, which means you savor the same award-winning cuisine served with the same flourish and attention. In the mood for something that is not on our dinner menu? Again, just ask. Our chef’s have the good taste to accommodate request. As you can see, your Seabourn suite is more that just a home away from home. It is a home away from home with a five star restaurant included.

When a Seabourn ship is in port who is often first to disembark? Actually, our Chefs. As the sun comes up, you can spot them at local markets, baskets in hand, thumping fruit, sniffing herbs, bargaining with the locals for seafood fresh out of the nets. Within hours these delicacies will be spread before you at The Veranda Café, barbecued for lunch at The Sky Grill, or perhaps offered as a sumptuous, regionally inspired feast, served al fresco under the stars. The Captain sometimes calls for a special on-deck dinner party. It may be a pasta feast to celebrate Portofino, or an American Thanksgiving turkey served under an autumn moon in the Carribbean.

Throughout the ship we follow a maxim: whether your appetite is for the ample and hearty or for lighter offerings in keeping with the trend towards fitness, we make sure every meal is an unprecedented event.
