Niagara, The Wine Region, Ontario (Episode #40)
We visit the Niagara region of Ontario,
Canada, just a stone's throw from the Falls along the Niagara
River Parkway. Home to the great revival of Canadian wines, the
Niagara region has a wondrous heritage of fine agriculture and
is now producing world-respected wines. We visit Inniskillin,
creator of the now world famous ice wine of Ontario where we meet
co-founder and owner, Donald Ziraldo to uncover the secrets of
this great Canadian wine. Then we meet Chef Ted Reader, author
of the exciting new specialty BBQ book, Sticks and Stones. First,
Ted shares with us his amazing passion for the barbecue and in
particular, the use of wood and stone for cooking inside the barbecue.
Then, Ted will cook for us his famous cedar plank smoked salmon
and finally, the most amazing barbecue ever seen, Hay Wrapped
Steak.
