Island of Santorini, Greece (Episode #46)
A ski lift, or a donkey are the only ways
to access the incredible town of Fira. Truly one of the great places
of the world to visit, this volcanic island is one of the world's
most dramatic and spectacular locations. Blessed with black, red
and white beaches, picturesque villages perched high on top of the
volcanic rim, countless churches with their signature blue roofs
atop glaringly white stone walls, we visit the restaurant with the
view of all views, Selene. Their cuisine is a true complement to
this wonderful island. Then on to Boutari winery, where a lack of
rainfall has led to an innovative way of growing grapes on the ground
in a wreath, rather than on a trellis.
