Kingston, Ontario (Episode #53)
Welcome to Fort Henry, a limestone fortress
that towers above the historic city of Kingston. This time, Taste
of Life takes part in a Fort Henry Barracks Banquet, complete with
authentic recipes of the 1860s and fife-playing soldier servants.
We'll witness the spectacular Sunset Ceremony, where split-second
bayonet drills and field manoeuvres recreate the exciting battle
tactics of over a century ago. Finally, we'll travel to the County
Cider Co., where owner and operator Grant Howes shows us his unparalleled
methods of producing hard cider, as well as some new innovations.
A unique journey that will leave visitors with a strong sense of
what once was.
