Mont-Sainte-Anne, Quebec (Episode #67)
The drama of the mountains, the mighty
St. Lawrence seaway, and striking historic beauty is what hits
you when Taste of Life travels to La Belle Province, Québec,
where we scale new heights of adventure and beauty at Mont-Saint
Anne.
The top of the mountain is only the tip of the iceberg at Mont-Sainte-Anne,
an area blessed with a culture, history and current lifestyle
that are firmly linked to the land and sea. Mont-Sainte-Anne is
a chameleon of resorts, changing color and appeal from season
to season. Why wait for the snow as the mountainís stunning vistas
and leafy trails beckon visitors year round.
For our epicurean odyssey, our fine dining is Chateau Mont-Sainte-Anne,
right at the foot of the mountain, where executive chef Jose Mareullo
creates a signature salmon dish for us. We also get a taste of
agricultural traditions on the Island of Orleans, where we learn
how grizzly smoked salmon combines the flavors of woods and sea.
And, we have a peak at the bee museum, to see how these interesting
insects contribute to our sweet cuisine!
